Disposable medical masks are the most common and most frequently used masks. How can they be detected?

Disposable medical masks need to be tested for 11 indicators, including appearance, structure and size, nose clip, mask band, bacterial filtration efficiency, ventilation resistance, microbial indicators, residual ethylene oxide, cytotoxicity, etc.

Among them, the bacterial filtration efficiency test is to test the isolation efficiency of the mask against bacteria; The microbial indicators stipulate that coliforms, pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, streptococcus hemolyticus and fungi cannot be detected. The belt must be able to withstand forces greater than 10N, that is, a kilogram of weight; According to the regulations, the pressure difference of the mask should not exceed 49Pa. If the pressure difference is too large, the wearer will be bored. The smaller the pressure difference, the more comfortable it will be.

The testing personnel enter the high-pressure safety zone, and two persons carry out high-pressure operation together to test whether the 16 indexes of protective clothing meet the standards. She first tested the antistatic properties of the protective clothing, cutting out a square of suitable size from the protective clothing, high voltage and low voltage alternating detection of static electricity.

Detection of microbial indicators is to prevent the microbial limit of protective clothing from exceeding and the user from being infected by bacteria and viruses on the protective clothing, which will bring the risk of infection to the user and fail to play a protective role. This is a relatively important indicator.

The moisture permeability is detected because the user is easy to sweat and produce water vapor after wearing protective clothing. If it is not permeable, the body will be very uncomfortable. The filtration efficiency test is to detect the key parts of the protective clothing and the joints. The filtration efficiency of non-oily particles should not be less than 70%. The flame retardant test is to test whether the protective clothing can prevent combustion and protect users in an environment with open flames.

Of course, there are different standards and instruments for testing different masks. The following is the recommendation of several instruments independently developed and produced by Guangzhou International Standard to meet the national manufacturing standards for testing masks and protective suits.
